Avon Barrier Lift System (BLS)
Avon Barrier Lift System (BLS) provides reliable high security at vehicle access points. It is impact rated to globally recognised standards. Its reliable and fast operation offers an immediate protection against vehicles attempting to gain unauthorised access.
The Barrier Lift System is a unique impact rated blocking system, where the crash beam is stored below the road’s surface and raises from the ground to block the passageway of vehicles, making it ideal for sites with restricted overhead space, an alternative to the Avon EB950CR Armstrong Barrier or a hinged swing gate similar to the Avon GC1100CR Hinged Gate. It creates a visual and physical deterrent to hostile vehicles attempting to gain access by force.
It is suited for all climate zones. A combination of high-quality material and the proven TRI-PROTECT® long-term corrosion protection ensures it can withstand all kinds of weather. In the lowered position the BLS is level with the road and so completely unobtrusive. It corresponds to bridge class SLW 60, to ensure that also the heaviest vehicles can use the entry.

Product Overview
The BLS has undergone a variety of independant physical crash tests, both in the USA and the UK. Testing includes the Department of States SD-STD-02.01, Rev. A 03/2003 achieveing K12/L3 – 6 m cwo & K12/L2 -10m cwo and PAS 68 achieving zero penetration PAS 68:2007 V/7500[N3]/80/90:0.0/25- 6m cwo.
As standard it is available in white (RAL9010) and the drive unit is light grey (RAL7035) with optional striped flame red (RAL 3000)/ pure white (RAL 9010) or solid flame red (RAL 3000).
